Fans from around the world will be sharing their favourite Hoban quotes by leaving them on sheets of yellow paper in public places, and also posted to Twitter, Facebook and blogs. We'll be gathering up all those that we hear about, and which are sent directly to us, and posting them here from today and in the coming days. (Oh yes! We like to spread out a celebration if we possibly can!) So do keep an eye on this site and the Twitter feed.

In 2005 the first international convention for Russell Hoban fans took place in London, and was marked by the publication of a fantastic 48-page booklet featuring exclusive contributions from innumerable fans and associates including novelist David Mitchell and actress Glenda Jackson. A wonderful memento of the event, it's also a beautiful collector's item and must-have for any Hoban fan. Although in limited supply, copies of the booklet are still available at £6.00 each plus p&p. Being as how i'm in peripatetic mode just currently, 4qutions from anything other than Riddley are a bit beyond my power, which is a a pity, really: i'd far rather have cited the first words i ever read by Russ (the opening words of The Lion of Boaz-Jachin and Jachin-Boaz back in 1974 - a birthing of a most wonder-filled journey ever since)so...
